Clean Water From Waste Naturally
- Up to 90% of grey water is lost through evaporation. - With sub-surface irrigation there is minimal to no water loss.
- Blackwater (sewage) accounts for around 40% of household water useage. - Blackwater is safely recoverable for irrigation with the Wet Innovations 2250 waste water treatment system.
How it works
The Wet Innovations 2250 combines traditional waste treatment processes with state-of-the-art separation and oxidation technologies, known as ozofractionation and biological aeration, to produce the most effective and biologically sound units of their kind.
A load awareness feature can be added to increase the unit’s efficiency, by adjusting the process in response to variable loads. The Wet Innovations 2250 can also operate on solar power.
Rules & regulations
Local governments across Australia have different regulations when it comes to onsite domestic waste water management plants, so consultation is essential. Where aerated waste treatment systems are allowed, Wet Innovations 2250 is the superior choice.
Under the pump
After installation by a registered plumber, only the top of the Wet Innovations 2250 is visible. The topography of the site impacts the installation of the subsurface irrigation system, with pumps sometimes needed to shift treated water uphill. The installation of a Wet Innovations 2250 unit must form part of an onsite domestic wastewater management plan as, required by AS/NZS 1547:2000.
In some cases, the sewer drain from your home may be a lot deeper than the inlet to the treatment system. In this case the system needs a riser to be added or a deeper inlet to be installed when ordered.
*Please note there is a extra charge for this modification and usually a lot more excavation required.
Mark of quality
Each Wet Innovations 2250 is tested and marked with a serial number after undergoing rigorous ISO 9000 quality assurance procedures. The units are guaranteed against structural defect for 10 years, pumps are guaranteed for two years and the subsurface irrigation system is guaranteed against root intrusion or failure for 10 years.
Irrigation is only warranted if supplied by Wet Innovations or the Waste flow brand is used and installed to manufacturers specifications.
Getting technical
The Australian and New Zealand standard, AS/NZS 1546.3:2001 On-site Domestic Wastewater Treatment Units, defines the required quality requirements of water left at the end of a treatment process.
- Equal to or less than 20 mg/l biological oxygen demand
– which is the level of nutrients left in the water.
- Equal to or less than 30 mg/l suspended solids
– which is how much dirt is left.
Independent tests show the Wet Innovations 2250 performs, on average, 55% and 90% better on the two vital measures.
The Wet Innovations 2250 is an Aerated Waster Treatment System designed to treat 2250 litres (10EP) of domestic waste per day.
Capacities
The Biozone system is exceptionally robust and may be programmed to cater for both average and peak loads, automatically.
